Learn to create a long-lasting patio display using summer bedding and tender perennials. We will cover plant combinations, compost choice, feeding, and watering. All materials included — you take home the pot you plant.
Introduction to Pruning
When to cut, what to cut, and how to avoid the common mistakes that slow down regrowth or spoil shape. Covering roses, shrubs, and fruit trees with hands-on practice in the nursery.
Propagation from Cuttings
Softwood, semi-ripe, and hardwood cuttings — techniques to suit the season and the plant. You will take home a tray of your own cuttings to nurture over the summer.
Wildlife Gardening
Simple changes that make a real difference for bees, butterflies, hedgehogs, and birds. Covers planting choices, log piles, mini-ponds, and what to leave rather than tidy up.
Herb Garden Workshop
Grow, harvest, and use culinary herbs through the season. We cover planting, harvesting, drying, and storing. You will create a small herb trough to take home along with a selection of starter plants.
Autumn Colour Planting
Discover the plants and combinations that bring the best colour from September through to November. Hands-on planting session followed by a guided walk through our autumn display beds.
